Say ‘goodbye’ to these cars and trucks for the new

Replica MB&F Watches
As we prepare to flip our calendars from 2011 to 2012, it’s time to say goodbye to a handful of vehicles that are being sent to the Great Parking Lot In The Sky before the 2012 model year completely takes hold. And while we’re not exactly upset about having to bid farewell to things like the Mitsubishi Endeavor Fake Versace Watches, Mazda Tribute or Chevrolet HHR, there are a few vehicles that we’re truly going to miss.

The Mazda RX-8, for example Replica Seiko Watches, has grown to be one of our favorite sports cars since its introduction in 2003. We love its lightweight construction, high-revving rotary engine and surprisingly functional suicide door design. It’s kind of like a Miata with a roof and rear seats. Speaking of the Miata Discount Replica U Boat Watches, Tesla’s two-seat Roadster – the automaker’s first production vehicle – proved to us that open-top motoring can be thrilling even with a stack of batteries driving the wheels.

We’ll miss the Honda Element and its rugged Replica Aigner Watches, utilitarian nature. We’ll miss the Volvo V50 and its capacious cargo area made for Ikea runs. And we’ll really miss those large lords of luxury Raymond Weil Replica Watches, the Cadillac DTS and Ford Crown Victoria. We’ve already said goodbye to the faithful but overripe Ford Ranger, and as ridiculous as the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid was, it was a shockingly good-to-drive electrified crossover.

There are plenty more models that won’t be making the journey to the 2012 model year, so have a look at the full list in our attached image gallery, then let us know which ones you’ll miss (if any) in the Comments.

Greek president proposes technocrat govt, more tal

THE Greek president proposed forming a technocrat government overnight and called for talks involving all Greek parties, barring the extreme right.

The leader of the socialist Pasok party Evangelos Venizelos said after meeting President Carolos Papoulias along with leaders of the conservative New Democracy and radical Democratic Left that the new talks would take place at 11am local time today.

The talks would seek to form a government of "distinguished and non-political figures Where to buy windows 7 key," he said.

Antonis Samaras of New Democracy said: "Everyone must take their responsibilities … our efforts continue tomorrow.

"Our mandate all together is to build a government," Mr Samaras said.

Democratic Left head Fotis Kouvelis, who had earlier said there was no chance of a deal if the radical left Syriza party stayed out Office 2011 MAC Key, indicated he would go to today’s meeting.

NET TV said that the leader of the Greek Independent party Windows 7 Key, which came fourth in inconclusive May 6 polls, would meet Mr Papoulias before the talks, an important development if confirmed.

Talks on Sunday hosted by Mr Papoulias with Mr Samaras, Mr Venizelos and Mr Kouvelis failed to form a government which would implement a painful EU-IMF debt bailout, raising the prospect that Greece would have to face new polls.

The May 6 vote left no party able to command a majority in parliament amid widespread anger at the austerity measures agreed in return for the debt accord.

The talks coincide with a eurozone finance ministers meeting in Brussels where officials insist that Greece must accept the bailout in full or face the consequences, a likely exit from the 17-nation currency bloc.

Law firm Dewey dumps executive; talks with rival e

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Embattled law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf said on Sunday it removed its former chairman from various leadership positions amid a probe by the Manhattan district attorney and said that talks with rival firm Greenberg Traurig about a potential transaction ended with no deal.

According to an internal firm memo obtained by Reuters, Dewey’s executive committee voted to oust Steven Davis from its ranks and remove him from a five-member management team put in place during a leadership shakeup last month. The firm’s management also disclosed that talks with Greenberg Traurig had ended.

“We are in discussions with other firms about a possible transaction and will consider those and other options for the firm moving forward,” the memo said.

Dewey, saddled by high debt replica watches, has been considering filing bankruptcy as a vehicle to merge with or be acquired by one or more firms.

A person close to the firm told Reuters before news of Davis’s ouster, that Dewey was close to securing a 90- to 120-day extension of roughly $75 million in loan debt due on Monday, providing a temporary reprieve on a default that could trigger a bankruptcy.

But it was unclear whether the extension discussions hinged on a transaction and where the discussions stood in the wake of the Greenberg talks falling through.

In the internal memo, Dewey’s management said the decision to remove Davis from his leadership position was unrelated to the end of talks with Greenberg Traurig. It also said the move should not be read as a judgment on the merits of the district attorney’s probe.

“The executive committee felt it was in the best interests of the firm to take this action,” the memo said.

Davis had previously been the firm’s chairman, but became part of a five-member “office of the chairman” in March, after Dewey overhauled its leadership structure. Davis has now effectively been removed from all leadership positions.

In an e-mail to partners Sunday obtained by Reuters, Davis said he was “saddened” by the committee’s decision, and said he had done his best to “navigate the firm through challenging and turbulent times.”

“My decisions as chairman were made in good faith and in the firm’s best interests,” Davis said. “I trust as this process continues, a dispassionate and disinterested review of the facts will confirm that I have not engaged in any misconduct.”

The move comes two days after the firm disclosed the office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance had opened an investigation into allegations of wrongdoing by Davis. A source familiar with the probe said a preliminary investigation was prompted after a group of Dewey partners asked Vance to examine “financial irregularities” at the firm.

About 77 of Dewey’s 300 partners have left the firm this year amid Dewey’s financial turmoil. The firm hired several high-profile attorneys last year and has struggled to afford the full compensation of other partners.

Greenberg Traurig in a statement on Sunday confirmed that talks with Dewey had ended.

“Dewey is a firm we hold in high regard with many fine lawyers, though we never considered a merger,” Greenberg Traurig CEO Richard Rosenbaum said in the statement.

NEARING AN EXTENSION

Dewey was close to securing a long-term extension on a Monday deadline on $75 million owed under a credit line to lenders led by JPMorgan Chase & Co replica watches, the source said before news of the Greenberg talks collapsing.

The extension, likely in the 90- to 120-day range replica watches, would stave off a default that could trigger a bankruptcy, said the person, who declined to be named because talks are private.

The banks have offered a term sheet for the extension, but the sides are still trying to hash out details, including the length of the extension and the nature of covenant terms proposed by the banks, the person said.

The lending core also includes Bank of America Corp, Citigroup and HSBC Holdings.

Lenders had initially offered a one-week extension, but that idea was shelved when parties decided it would not provide enough time for the firm to work out its underlying debt issues.

A spokesman for Dewey declined to comment on discussions with the banks.

A spokesman for JPMorgan declined to comment. A lawyer for the lenders did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Locals angry over Sydney nuke waste plan

A community in Sydney's south has reacted angrily to plans to store radioactive waste in the area Tattoo Supply, saying Lucas Heights is being treated like a nuclear “dumping ground”.

Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) revealed that 13 cubic metres of waste will be returned to Australia by 2015 and stored for five years at the Lucas Heights nuclear facility.

The waste, which will remain toxic for centuries, was generated in Australia through the production of nuclear medicine materials and scientific research.

It was taken to France for reprocessing but will be returned under an Australian-Franco government agreement and kept in a newly built storage unit.

Sutherland Shire Mayor Carol Provan is calling on the federal government to build a long-awaited national nuclear waste repository.

“The radioactive material is to be brought back from France and stored at Lucas Heights because successive federal governments haven't got their act together and built a national storage facility What Is The Best Tattoo Ink,” Ms Provan said.

“We have been waiting for decades.

“While we are not surprised by this latest announcement by ANSTO, I think it is unfortunate that the residents of the Sutherland Shire had to wake up to this news and we weren't forewarned.”

Sutherland Shire councillor Peter Towell, whose ward covers the Lucas Heights area, said locals had safety concerns.

“We just don't want it Rotary Machine Tattoo,” Mr Towell told AAP.

“As far as I'm concerned a nuclear reactor has its place in our medical system but it's not a world dumping ground.”

Some environmentalists, however, have welcomed the plan.

Australian Conservation Foundation nuclear campaigner Dave Sweeney said he'd rather have the waste at Lucas Heights than dumped near outback communities.

“It puts it into an area where there's established and proven security and monitoring,” Mr Sweeney said.

ANSTO chief executive Adi Paterson said most people would be surprised how small the volume of waste was.

“The store would hold around 13.2 cubic metres of waste from spent fuel – equal to a third of one shipping container – from the old HIFAR reactor at Lucas Heights,” Dr Paterson said in a statement.

It would be moved to a yet-unbuilt national radioactive waste management facility by 2020.

It's been reported that the waste will be shipped from France in a custom-built 6.5-metre cask with walls more than 20cm thick.

Contemporary Sales Approach The Consultative Sale

Today’s approach to marketing and sales must be smooth and sophisticated. Pressuring people and the “hard” sale are relics of a bygone era. The films Boiler Room and Glengarry Glen Ross highlight the former pushy tactics.

Although I realize that a more suave sales technique is needed to woo the customer, the stereotypes of brash sales forces persist on a small scale. Think of cultures where the words “Hello my friend…” are still considered coins of the realm. Culture is partly responsible for the nature of this marketing style, and the other reason is a lack of regulatory procedures.

Let’s face facts. Business is about sales. No sales revenue, no business. You can have the greatest products or the finest service. If no one recognizes this and the offerings do not convert into receipts, there is only a limited time you will be allowed to remain open unless you are running an NGO. Speaking of NGOs, even they need to raise money. Their sales pitch might be different owing to the nature of their organization’s activities Herve Leger gown sale, but it is still a sales pitch.

The Sales Function

What makes sales an interesting subject is the nature of how the sale is conducted. When client need and desire are matched to the offering, the products or services sell themselves. The sales force become the bridge; provide information or even counsel. They should, in theory, also become part of a positive experience. This principle should hold true in any organization, public or private, large or small.

A contemporary salesperson should be a listener more than a talker. The offering must be tailored to fit the customer’s needs. When it is handled in this manner, the customer makes an “intelligent” buyer behavioral decision.

A smart and well-trained sales team recognizes that understanding human psychology and diplomacy acts as a form of persuasion.

Liked vs. Valued

As in any profession, most sales people appreciate being liked and trusted by their clientele. The key I have found is the concept of value. When clients sense that you value their needs, you understand the principle of caring. Do not make any client feel that they are just part of “turnover.” Authenticity must be genuine. Anyone can tell a fake from the real McCoy.

Bought vs. Sold

Marketing strategist Seth Godin states in his blog that there are products that are “bought,” and there are products that are “sold”:

Some things are bought — such as bottled water, airplane tickets and chewing gum. The vendor sets up shop and then waits, patiently, for someone to come along and decide to buy.

Other things are sold — such as cars, placement of advertising in magazines and life insurance. If no salesperson is present, if no pitch is made, nothing happens.

Seth goes on to stress:

Both are important. Both require a budget and a schedule and a commitment. Confusion sets in when you’re not sure if your product or service is bought or sold Discount Emilio Pucci Dresses, or worse, if you are a salesperson just waiting for people to buy.

If a company’s products or services need to be “sold,” there are different sets of challenges to overcome. These include:

- Clarifying how the products or services can make prospective clients’ lives better;

- Creating and expressing an emotional connection to your niche audience/prospects — whether it’s cool, innovative, or rebel, etc.

- Indicating to your audience/prospects what they get to lose by not acquiring the products or services.

When it comes to a product or service being “bought,” not much effort is required in convincing prospective clients that they should purchase, but that they should buy yours. Even perceived necessities need to be marketed and sold — it’s just that they have a different focus.

Sales Online

The Internet and social media have had an effect and changed the way customers are buying. Their selling process has been reduced to a mere buying process; although the consumer continues to seek guidance in their purchases.

This is where the “value” factor plays a role. Sales staff should always look for ways to offer solutions to keep their customers satisfied. It is thought that a quarter of all online shopping is made by frequent “shopping lovers” whose influence spread the word to others about joys of online shopping whenever they have the opportunity. They represent an ideal target for retailers who should not be taken for granted.

Think Zappos!

Pull vs. Push

Push marketing and pull marketing are different yet complementary marketing methods for promoting a business — most notably online.

Push marketing is more traditional methods of advertising — essentially, you are pushing your message to your audience, regardless of whether they want to receive your message or not. Push marketing focuses on product features and awaits the audience to respond. Examples of push marketing include email marketing, website advertising, and cold calling.

Pull marketing is more proactive, pulling the customers toward your brand/product with targeted messages they care about. Pull marketing is all about brand building. Examples of pull marketing include media interviews, public speaking, and word-of-mouth advertising.

Consultative Sales = CRM

What differentiates a consultative sales process from a traditional presentation of features and benefits is the relationship that is established between the prospect and the salesperson at the beginning stages of the sales cycle. Traditional product salespeople rely mainly on their product and service expertise and may not pay enough attention to the relationship aspect. For an effective consultative sales conversation to develop, a prospect must believe that the sales consultant has practical and credible expertise and someone that the client wants to work with.

The contemporary approach to selling is when the salesperson guides the prospective customer in making sound purchase decisions — someone seen as an ally and adviser. This can be accomplished by keeping the following in consideration:

- Clearly identify the prospect’s needs — does the product or service proposed fill it?

- Is the price offered deemed value for the money?

Ensure a long-term relationship by achieving customer satisfaction. To do this requires some skills — either instinctively or acquired through training and practice. This includes:

- The capability to understand what the prospect wants;

- The knack to recognize, through ample product knowledge including features, which of the products and services are deemed most appropriate for the prospect;

- The ability to convey the specific benefits gained by using specific products and/or services that are meaningful to this customer;

- The capacity to deliver the “package” (products or services). Focus on the desired results expected by the prospective client.

Luxury Brand Management: Selling the Intangible

Selling luxury products or services in a sluggish economy is no easy task. Focus on the affluent. Simply put, such consumers buy no matter what the state of the economy.

Next step is not to sell them on the product or service per se but rather on what the true meaning of luxury represents:

• Self-expression
• An exceptional experience
• Made/formed with authenticity
• Craftsmanship and quality
• Created/produced in small numbers — rarity factor
• Emotional bonding
• Upscale mystique
• Status and prestige

This is what affluent buyers are looking for. All high-end purchases must have a storyline, pedigree or heritage. Pressure of any kind is pointless here. Think Ralph Lauren. RL sales teams never pressure clients. Ralph’s “dream” has either made the sale or it hasn’t. The sales team is just there to advise and be of assistance. Shared beliefs, attitudes, and values between sales team and client can push the sale forward because it is one of bonding and mutual recognition of being part of the “club.”

Anyone who understands the points of being an “brand ambassador” knows what I am taking about here.

The Bottom Line

As in all professions, sales techniques continue to evolve and adapt to the nature of the times in which we live. Great service, good pricing and loyal relationships have become yesterday’s sales standards. Using the consultative sales approach and providing clients with value-added solutions is compulsory in today’s business arena.

Salespeople should evolve as businesses do. Today’s clients demand a partnership arrangement. Since all of us are also clients is it any wonder?

LA 2009Galpin Motors makes up for Aston Martin no-

Galpin Aston Martin at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show – Click above for a high-res image gallery

It’s been a meager LA Auto Show this year for exotic cars. Many didn’t even show up, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bentley. Aston Martin wasn’t on the list as well, but to our surprise their full line of cars was on display. Apparently Galpin Motors decided to pick up the slack and brought a decent selection of the inventory from the Van Nuys, CA showroom. We generally don’t think of Aston Martin when we hear about Galpin, but the world’s largest Ford dealer also has an impressive showroom for the British marque. In fact, it’s where we were able to get up close and personal with the Aston Martin One-77.

Beau Boeckmann, Vice President of Galpin Motors, told us that they considered the show important enough for their Aston Martin sales to make the investment. This makes us wonder how the absence of Ferrari, Lamborghini and the like will impact local dealers. If so, we can see many following Galpin’s lead and bringing cars next year like many of the regional shows. Only time will tell Tattoo Supplies, but we can’t imagine the exotic car manufacturers staying away from the auto show in one of their most important markets for too long.
